The Forum for Agricultural Risk Management in Development (FARMD) is a network of institutions, practitioners, and academics seeking to enhance experience and knowledge sharing in agricultural risk management, particularly in developing countries.
By improving the practice of agricultural risk management, the network seeks to strengthen investments in the agricultural sector and reduce the vulnerabilities faced by different stakeholders.
FARMD is open to individuals and organizations working and interested in agriculture, primarily in developing country contexts. Whether they know it or not, all aspects of agriculture are touched by risk and therefore can benefit from improved risk management techniques, best practices, new ideas and access to information.
Members of FARMD are highly diverse and cut across multilateral agencies, bilateral organizations, NGOs, private entities, regional organizations, agriculture supply chains, and government organizations, among others. Each member of FARMD brings unique experiences, skills, and knowledge to the Forum with the intention of sharing and benefiting from those of others.
