University of North Carolina Water Institute - Future Technologies for Water

With funding provided by Takata Corporation, the Water Institute at the University of North Carolina announces a competition to identify breakthrough technologies for safe water. Innovations can focus on shortening the water cycle; rapid testing of water samples; and protecting vulnerable and sensitive populations. 

Generally, to be eligible, a venture should be at the start-up stage. Applications may be submitted by an individual or by a team. The first-place winner will receive US$15 thousand, and the second place winner will receive US$5 thousand.  Entries (business plans) should be submitted by 31 July 2014.
