European Commission (EC) -- Strengthening Smallholder Rice Farmers in Tanzania

The EC will fund projects to increase competitiveness and improve the post-harvest value chain of small holder farmers in Morogoro and Iringa regions. Projects should particularly target rice as one of the most important food and commercial crops in the area. Grants will range from €750 thousand to €1.5 million, varying with cost shares. Eligibility for funding extends to non-profit organizations in EU member states and candidate countries; the European Economic Area; the OECD countries; the ACP countries (including Tanzania); and international organizations.
