Promoting YPARD in Yunan, Shanxi and Hebei Province in China through a field survey project in remote and poverty villages

YPARD were Promoted in Yunan, Shanxi and Hebei Province in China by chance of the project of field survey in remote and poverty villages

My dear YPARD China team members and I are all doing our jobs on a project of field survey in remote and poverty villages in China these months.

Before the actual field survey, we went to the local Agricultural Universities to train our selected investigators. During the training, we introduced YPARD to local students(Jieying Bi did it in Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University on July 26th , Jiaqi Huang did it in Yunan Agricultural University on July 25th and also in Hebei Agricultural University on August 19th ), welcoming them to get involved and also show them how to register in YPARD. The students showed great interests in the activities and opportunities given by YPARD, they felt that YPARD was like a window which helped them see the open world and know about various kinds of opportunities and information in agricultural research. But some of the students had difficulties in reading and communicating in English, so I offered another way to let them keep in touch with us——YPARD station in renren.com(Chinese version Facebook).

We are hard to get access to the Internet in poverty villages, so sorry for the late of this news. The whole YPARD China team was still in the process of the survey, we try to make the voice of YPARD to be heard in more areas of China, hoping more and more YPs could get benefit from YPARD and make contributions at the same time. We will keep in touch with the active students when we get back in Beijing, and maybe we could find suitable and responsible person to establish leagues or work groups to propaganda YPARD in local Agricultural Universities.
